Becoming a regular blood donor is just one of the ways of supporting the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service. And even if you cannot give blood, there are plenty of other ways of getting involved.
Your help means a lot, so promoting a local donation session, or getting your school, company or sports club involved are all important to us.
Schools and Universities
Did you know we have an extensive youth programme available throughout Northern Ireland? We can visit your school or campus at a time that suits and give a talk to students and staff, usually between 15 and 30 minutes long. It’s an excellent way to promote blood donation, provide information and encourage donor enrolments. And if a talk isn’t possible, we have a video resource that we can provide.
We also visit university fresher’s fair and it would be great to meet you there.
Or spread the word about blood donation by making use of our posters or leaflets promoting a local donation session.
For more information please get in touch with us at giveblood@nibts.hscni.net. We would love to hear from you!
Corporate
We hold donation sessions at a number of businesses throughout Northern Ireland and are always happy to consider new venues.
We also have a Belfast city centre venue that can be made available to companies who may not have suitable space themselves.
Or spread the word about blood donation by making use of our posters or leaflets promoting a local donation session.
Our pdf document should provide all the information needed, or you can get in touch with us at giveblood@nibts.hscni.net.
Clubs and Groups
Clubs and Groups
If you are involved in a local community group or part of a sports club, we would love to hear from you.
Whether it’s to start a new donation session at your club, or promote a local venue in the area, spreading the word about blood donation throughout the community is vital.
